
B-Skill Ltd established its Central Region in May 2007. Headed by Regional Manager Karen Griffin, the highly experienced training team offer a wide range of qualifications to local employers including Cleaning and Support Services, Caretaking and Support Services in Healthcare.
Karen believes her team of vocationally experienced assessors deliver a high quality, professional training service to all clients. She comments; "We assess all learners at their place of work, identifying and addressing each of our client needs, working flexible hours to suit the business and employee working patterns. Training is also delivered in the workplace and designed to cause the minimum of disruption to workflow."
It is a flexible approach that has ensured B-Skill's training programmes have been well-received by employers in the Central region.
B-Skill assessors have extensive resources available to help learners get the most from their courses. These include digital dicta-phones and cameras. Karen is delighted that learners have embraced the technology. "Learners find recording their evidence more enjoyable, and it is a technique that also complements professional discussions and written statements."
B-Skill's approach to quality provision also means that all assessors are A1 qualified or working towards this qualification. Moreover, each assessor has a wealth of experience and extensive working knowledge of the industries they represent. Karen believes that this knowledge and experience added to a close working relationship with businesses allows assessors to take into account their requirements so that training can fit their needs precisely. She adds; "We have had excellent results so far with our clients who include the University of Birmingham, Strand Limited, Sandwell Council, Resource UK, Aston University and Birmingham City University."
